find out More About my work...
I work in a wide range of media, from Holga photography to hand-embroidered textiles. My pieces are often site specific, incorporating ambient soundscapes and other multimedia elements. I am interested in exploring the connections between the past and the present, with an emphasis on how history affects our lives today. For the past decade, my work has been largely collaborative, with a strong social element.

In 2018 I created I Dream -- Ida Copeland and the Girl Guides, a large-scale, mixed media installation for National Trust Trelissick Other projects which merge history and social issues include The Gardeners of '14 for The Lost Gardens of Heligan in Cornwall and 842: A Portrait of St John's Hospital in its 842nd Year for St John's Hospital in Bath. Since early 2020, all of my collaborative projects have been on hold but I am very much looking forward to picking them up again as soon as possible.
